Introduction to Community Packages

QNAP has a community of developers who package and support packages for QNAP devices. There are two methods for installing packages. You can add what is call a repository, or list of packages, which allows you to use a GUI to automatically install and update packages. You can also manually install individual packages.

Adding Repository to QNAP App Center

  1. Click on App Center on Main Destop.
  2. Click on the Setting icon in the upper right hand corner.
  3. Click the Add link.
  4. Enter the Name and URL for the Repository.

Note: The name is not critical. It is just helps you keep track of the repositories.
