Refer to the Wikies below for these two XDove webbased mail clients:


POP XMail boxes with Microsoft Outlook

  1. In Outlook open the "Tools/Mail accounts" dialog box. Select "Add new account" and press "Next".
  2. Click on "POP3" and fill the fields with:
    - You name and e-mail address (username@domain)
    - POP3 server with "pop.your_domain"
    - SMTP server with "smtp.yourdomain"
    - Your name and password to open a session. Your name shall be written as "username@your_domain".The password is the one used to create your mailbox.
You can leave the other parameters unchanged.
To rename this new Outlook mail account, click on "Advanced parameters" and under the "General" tab replace "pop.your_domain" with the text you want to change.


IMAP XMail boxes with Microsoft Outlook

  1. In Outlook open the "Tools/Mail accounts" dialog box. Select "Add new account" and press "Next".
  2. Click on IMAP" and fill the fields with:
    - You name and e-mail address (username@domain)
    - IMAP server with "imap.your_domain"
    - SMTP server with "smtp.yourdomain"
    - Your name and password to open a session. Your name shall be written as "username@your_domain".The password is the one used to create your mailbox.


You can leave the other parameters unchanged.
To rename the mail account, click on "Advanced parameters" and under the "General" tab replace "imap.your_domain" with the text you want to change.
A new folder is added into your Outlook application that show the inbox as well as a Spam folder.
You can add and remove folders to sort your mails. These folders are created on the Mail server and may be easly accessed from different remote location.
Deleted messages from the IMAP inbox are still able to be recovered. They are just striked out.
